OVERALL ELIGIBILITY AND CONCESSION CRITERIA

Students may be eligible for a government funded subsidised (free) course at Skills Australia Institute if they have left school, live in Western Australia, and are:

  • an Australian citizen OR
  • a permanent visa holder OR
  • Holders of a subclass 300, 309, 444, 445, 461, 785, 790, or 820 visa
  • secondary holders of a temporary visa of subclass 188, 457, 482, 489, 491 or 494 visa
  • Holders of a Bridging Visa E (subclasses 050 and 051) who have made a valid application for a visa of subclass 785 or 790
  • Ukrainian individuals with visa subclass 449 or 786
  • Afghan citizens who are holders of a visa subclass 449; and
  • Holders of a bridging visa who are eligible to work and have submitted a valid application for subclass 866.
